FREE! Twisted Dreams!

My new adult, paranormal novel is free on Amazon for the next couple of days (17th - 19th May), so grab it while you can. The book is a spin off of my Serenity series, featuring a certain girl from the book, all grown up and off to college!

Here's a bit about the book:

Born of a vampire father to a human mother, Elizabeth Bandores' life was never going to be normal, so she can't imagine why she thinks starting college will be any different.

Having grown up in the affluent Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles and desperate to escape, she decides on the small college town of Sage Springs. With dreams of being a writer, she joins the college newspaper and is introduced to blond, confident Flynn Matthews, Sage Springs' rising swim star.

But a carnival has set up in the small town, and the boy running the Waltzer catches her eye. Dark-haired, leather-jacketed Riley is rude, with an air of danger. Elizabeth can't help but notice him. And when an accident thrusts them together, she discovers he's noticed her, too.

Sage Springs isn't the quiet little town Elizabeth had hoped for. The forests bordering the town harbour a dark secret--one some of the residents have been trying to protect, and the leaders of the carnival have set in their sights...

Excerpt:

I yanked myself out of his grip, tears blurring my vision. It was happening again, the thing I’d tried so hard to deny to myself.
The person people saw on the outside wasn’t the same as the person who lurked within the slightly scruffy, try-too-hard exterior. I had darkness inside me. Writhing, coiling, scary darkness. I had been fighting it my whole life, but recently the darkness felt so much closer to the surface. My jaw ached, my throat running so dry I could barely swallow.
No, no, no, no. I closed my eyes, trying to focus in on my reaction, trying to will it away. I wanted to tell the boy standing in front of me to run, to get away, but the words wouldn’t come out of my mouth.
Movement and a yell, not one caused by me, made my eyes ping open, the driving darkness at my soul retreating at the distraction.
“Leave her alone!”
Flynn stood between me and the new guy, his broad shoulders completely blocking my view of the dark hair and brooding eyes.
“You don’t frighten me, jock-boy,” the carny said. “And I was only talking to the girl.”
“I don’t want you even looking at her, never mind talking to her. Your kind is dangerous.”
“Ay, don’t I know it? Maybe you should think about that next time you take one of my kind on.”
I moved around the side in time to see the dark haired boy start to push up the sleeves of his leather jacket.
“Hey! Quit it, both of you! I don’t even know what you’re fighting about.”
Flynn looked to me. “He was bothering you, Beth.”
“So what if he was?” I said, suddenly angered for a different reason. “Since when has it been your business to protect me? We barely know each other!”
“Exactly. This is none of your business,” the carny guy said, picking up on my words.
I turned to him. “And I told you to leave me the hell alone. You don’t want to get on my bad side, or being confronted by a six foot something jock will be the least of your worries.”
“Ouch. You’re a spiky one.”
I could see him repressing a smirk, which only served to make me angrier. The aching in my jaw increased, my throat tightening. Both men were watching me, Flynn with a confused, hurt expression on his face, the carny guy with an amused smirk. I didn’t even know his name, I realized.
I don’t want to know his name, I tried to convince myself. But I did. Even with an annoying smirk that I wanted to slap off his striking face, I longed to know his name with every fiber of my soul.
But right now, the darkness was creeping over me. I was seeing red, literally. The veins on both of the men’s throats, the spreading network across their inner wrists, all shone like a beacon to me. Threads of glowing red rivers of blood.
“Just leave me alone!” I finished, needing to get away from them both.

I turned and started to run, leaving the sounds and smells of the carnival behind me.

New Release! Twisted Magic - Book Two in the Dhampyre Chronicles!

The next book in The Dhampyre Chronicles, Twisted Magic is out now! This series is a YA/NA (I haven't quite figured out which category it should fall into yet!) spin-off series of my completed 'Serenity' series, but you don't need to have read Serenity's books to get started. They'll stand on their own.

Here's a bit about the new book...

Book Two in the Dhampyre Chronicles:

After almost dying at the hands of the carnival people, Elizabeth is settling in at Sage Springs. Dealing with the difficulties of juggling college and being half-vampire doesn’t seem so bad now her new life involves sexy, Irish biker Riley.
When a girl is found murdered on the beach, Elizabeth realizes she has dreamed about the killer, and she is thrown into a whole new situation. Someone appears to be picking off her friends, one by one, and she thinks she may be next.
But there are too many things she can’t explain, from the sudden fog that appears to have taken over Sage Springs, to the thing she believes may be hidden within it.
Is a person trying to kill off the witches of Sage Springs, or is something far more sinister in play?

Also, To celebrate the release of Twisted Magic, I've also reduced the price of Twisted Dreams from $3.99 to only $0.99, so if you haven't already started the series, now would be a great time to do so.

In other news, I'm currently working on the next Spirit Shifters book, Avenging Autumn, for a July release. Have you seen the extremely hot cover yet? If not, I've included it below. I hope you like it. I'm really enjoying writing about Autumn and the gang again, though of course there is plenty of conflict going on! It will be out in the middle of July, and will be up for preorder before then!

Happy Halloween! Lily Harlem and Spooky Inspiration!

Happy Halloween everyone! It's one of my favourite days of the year, where I am allowed to indulge in my love of all things that go bump in the night without looking like a weirdo!

Today I have swapped blogs with the gorgeously sexy Lily Harlem. I'm over on her blog chatting about my top five sexiest werewolves (warning: hot, half naked men on display!). Lily writes some seriously smoking hot erotica and erotic romance and she's here today to chat about the creepy inspiration for her two paranormal novels, Bite Mark and Claw Mark. I haven't yet read these books, but I have read several of Lily's other novels and I highly recommend her work.

So, take it away, Lily!

Spooky Inspiration
By Lily Harlem

Thank you for inviting me over today, it’s great to be here. I love nothing more than setting my novels in my beloved London. I lived there for several years and for the entire time I felt immersed in history and surrounded by the echoes of the past.

One of the best parts about London is the fabulous old pubs, they have great names, are full of atmosphere and once you’re inside, with friends, it’s as if the rest of the world has melted away. Sometimes they’re a bit tatty, the floorboards wonky and more often than not you have to negotiate stairs to find the restrooms, but I love these places.

Non more so than The Butcher's Hook and Cleaver which is where I got the inspiration for Bite Mark. This old pub is set opposite Smithfield Market which has been trading meat for over 800 years and is now homed in a glorious Victorian building. Mr H and I were in the area on a cold, damp December day a few years ago. A thick fog was hanging around, it had been all week, and to be honest, it was pretty damn creepy outside. The market was quiet and still as it shuts up mid morning and there was a definite Jack the Ripper feel to the area with no one around and visibility diminished. The pub was so welcoming, warm and cosy and Mr H unexpectedly bumped into some people he knew. It was while he was talking and catching up that I looked out of the window and saw a man —posh suit, cane, top hat—walking purposefully with his head tipped upwards past the market. Aimery was born in my imagination! A vampire lawyer working for the Worshipful Company of the Ancient Order (Worshipful Livery Companies are a real thing in London BTW) who has a tendency to hang around the meat market, enjoying the scents of blood that lace the air.

Aimery has a friend, Ryle, equally gorgeous, equally vampish in his ways. And together they hook up with butcher girl Beatrice who seeks their help to find her missing friend, Denny. Beatrice is one lucky lady to have not one but two sexy vampires who are out to seduce her and keep her safe.

When I came to the end of writing Bite Mark I found myself leaving my characters in a bit of a pickle! You see The Carlton Pack
—a group of wolf shifters who have history with the Ancient Order—demanded to have their story told too. Soon I was far from London, deep in the Canadian Rockies, letting them have their say in the novel Claw Mark , because after all, every story has two sides, and Beatrice is lucky enough to see both the vampires and the shifters.

I hope you’ll check out Bite Mark and Claw Mark. Remember, do read Bite Mark first. Oh, and if you’re around on Halloween then check out the Brit Babes Shivers and Tingles Facebook Party! It’s going to be great fun with contests, gossip, sexy pictures and steamy excerpts from all The Brit Babes.

Thank you for reading.

Bite Mark

Life in London as a butcher girl is hard enough, but when my best friend Denny went missing it became miserable. So stumbling into the Worshipful Company of the Ancient Order while searching for him was like a breath of fresh air. Especially because sexy, sophisticated Aimery promised to help me.

But Aimery’s friend Ryle wanted in on the action. My head was spinning, my body reacting to theirs whenever they were around. But I had questions: What was their obsession with my rare blood type? How did they always appear when I needed them? And how old were they?

Learning the truth about my lovers brought new fears and delights. They could take me higher than I’d ever gone before, show me pleasures I’d never imagined and were prepared to kill to protect me. Being mortal had never been so much erotic fun—or so deliciously dangerous.

Claw Mark

This book is a sequel to Bite Mark; to ensure full enjoyment of this book, please read Bite Mark first.

Being married to two sexy vampires is as exciting as it is dangerous. One minute I’m on top of the world, the next I’m running for my life. But it’s okay with Aimery and Ryle at my side—they’ve sworn to love and protect me and keep me satisfied until I’m old and tray.

But when everything crashes down, literally, I can see no way out of the darkness—death my best option. Until two unusual men come bounding to my aid.

Gentle Caleb and prickly Isaac have secrets. They’re full of passion, desire, love and lust and their isolated lives are weaved with mystery. But I know what they are. I’m also craving some serious satisfying, a distraction from my dilemma, and it seems these guys are up for the job.

Will my life always be turbulent, terrifying and tempting beyond belief? Nothing is certain in a world of vampires and shifters.

Dominion, Book Four in the Serenity Series is Out Now!

Whoo-hoo! Today is my official release for Serenity's book four, Dominion! Though the book went live on Amazon over the weekend, today is the day I had planned for my release. With that in mind, I have lots of giveaways planned over on my facebook page today, starting a little later today when people across the pond are out of bed. I'm going to giveaway signed copies of my books - including paperbacks of Alone, Buried, and The Dark Road, personalised jewellery, and even a C.D. of the music I write to.

On top of that, to celebrate my new release, the rest of the Serenity series is on sale! Alone is free, Buried is down from $4.99 to $1.99, and Captured is down from $4.99 to $3.99! So if you've not already started the series, now would be a good time to stock up on the books at a low price.

So head on over to Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk to grab your copy of Dominion! In a few weeks, Dominion will also be available on Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo, and Sony, but in the meantime you can purchase various formats which you can load up onto which ever e-reader you have from Smashwords.

In other news, it's NaNoWriMo next month! I will be taking part and this is my third year, though I'm still undecided about what I'm going to work on! Though I had planned on writing the first book in a new series, Serenity's book five, Endless, keeps calling to me. The characters keep having conversations in my head, so I'm wondering if I may end up having to write that one instead.

Are you planning to do NaNo this year?

'Buried' is now Available to Buy!

I'm thrilled to announce that the sequel to 'Alone' (or the second book in the 'Serenity' series), 'Buried', is now available to buy from Amazon!

I'm offering the book at an introductory friendship price of $0.99 for the first two weeks so everyone out there who has already read 'Alone' and has helped me by blogging, reviewing, or simply mentioning the book to their friends, can pick up a copy ultra-cheap. Of course, if you haven't read Alone and would like to, that book is also priced at $0.99 to introduce new readers to the series. Just click here for the link!

I'm also really pleased to say that Alone has now sold about 340 copies so far this month which means I will be proud of my donation to the charity, 'Refuge'! (I'm donating 25% of the revenue from sales). The novel has been in the top 100 best seller list for contemporary fantasy on Amazon and I'm hoping it will stay there!

Here's the blurb to Buried.

***Warning contains spoilers if you haven't already read 'Alone'.***

Four years after the horrific murder of her husband, Serenity is living a new life and finally putting the terrifying events behind her. Though now a stronger person, her heart craves the vampire who gave her the strength to change her life.

Desperate to forget Serenity, Sebastian hides away in the underground tunnels of Goreme, Turkey, and has thrown himself into an existence of darkness and blood.

But rumours are abound of something unnatural existing, something with the strength of a vampire but can walk in the light.

And a murderer is on the loose in Angeles Forest, someone who is killing with the ferocity of a beast. The killer is moving closer and closer to the city, searching for something...

I hope you'll get reading! For those who are interested, I'm working on the third in the series, 'Captured', which I hope to have out early 2012!
