After a lovely week with my parents in Spain, I've returned home feeling both relaxed and eager to get on with my work.
I've had the final edits back for Alone now and they're pretty much done! Whoo-hoo! All that's left is some final proofing and formatting, and then I hope to have the book back up for sale this weekend (double Whoo-hoo!).
While I was away, I wrote a number of short stories (all longhand, despite taking my computer, I never actually turned it on!). One is for the 'Demonic Dolls' anthology which I blogged about earlier this month, another is the free short for Alone, 'The Vengeful Vampire', and the third short story is one called 'Thumbing it', about a female hitch-hiker, which I wrote just for the fun of it!
So I now have page after page of almost illegible notes to write up. On top of that, I also have the new deadline for the sequel to Alone, which is entitled, Buried. As soon as Alone is up, I'll be turning my editing eye to Buried and hope to have the book up for sale by the end of October.
It was a pleasure to have you and the girls. Looking forward to Alone and Buried.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great time, Marissa! I'm looking forward to receiving your story for "Demonic Dolls." You are one amazing lady to find the right path for yourself in publishing. In both genres!
